Talk Light
Talk Light is an automated traffic light that monitors
the noise level in Elementary and Middle School cafeterias and other
common areas. The microphone that is installed in this full sized
traffic light is adjustable to provide the level of sensitivity
required for your school.
Talk Light provides children and teachers with an
audible and visual indication of the noise level in the room. Policies
can be established with the children, outlining rewards and consequences.
Once these are in place and communicated, children tend to manage
themselves based on the colors of the light.

How It Works
Green Light: On during normal talk levels
Yellow Light: On during moderate talk levels
Yellow Flashing Light: This warning light gives
children one minute to reduce the noise level or the light turns
to Red. If the level drops, the light will change to Yellow or Green
depending on the volume.
Red Light: This light is on during unacceptable
talk levels. The amount of time that the red light is on can be
adjusted from one to nine minutes. There is also an audible alert
when the light goes to Red. This feature can be turned on or off
and the volume of the alert can be adjusted.
